So here it is, the post I promised. Coliseum was the place we had for lunch last week. As continued from here .. I was taught much about our history of our culture and how hainanese chicken chops and hainanese – western fusion came about. I’ve learned a lot from them, well most of it not taught in our history back in high school. Adrian & Siva even told me a thing or two about the heritage of this place. The Captain of Coliseum Cafe now, an old uncle.. Apparently his parents used to work here and he lives in there throughout his life. From being a kid, washing the dishes, till now.. A captain.

So while I was shooting photos of the surrounding, I told Siva to decide what’s best for me. And I was told that as a first timer, I must try their specialty, “The Sizzling Steak.”

Before the steak was served as I was sitting at the table, a waited pushed a cart and stopped about 10 meters away from me. I was thinking, hmmm.. Okie maybe that’s not mine and I don’t see any sizzles anyway. Suddenly, he walked to me, tied a bip overhanging from my neck. I was a little confused, especially when both Siva and Adrian was looking at me and said “HAHA! Are you ready for the sizzling steak? Now it’s time to experience the SIZZLING STEAK” with the look on their face. I was also told to prepare my camera. And so I did.

So the waiter pours the mushroom sauce over the hot plate with the steak in it. And zzzzzzzzzzzzsssizzlezzssizzlingzzaaazeeeezuuuuaazaassizzlingsizzlingggzz…

And then the steak was served on my table. That’s exactly how it looked like!

I was also told that this is my first timer.. So I must have a picture of myself with the steak..

And so I had my photo taken. I was looking like a tourist.

Until a point where some dudes at the bar stopped me from taking pictures. I chatted a bit with them, well they’re quite nice people.. They didn’t wanted to appear in the photos. And that’s why.. But oh well. I still acted like a tourist and took lots of pictures of the articles hung on the wall.

Ohyes I know I am supposed to blog about the lunch at Coliseum, but I am a little over excited about my pick ups from this week…

One of my favourite sneaker and of course my favourite among the Air Max series.. Here it is, the Air Max 95..

This colourway and edition is designed by well known Dutch artist called Parra. Hence this is called the Air Max 95 Running Man by Parra. This was released last year in conjunction of the Nike Running Man campaign which includes Parra and Misha. So yea, I bought this one year after the relese.. But hey.. It is better late than never!

This is by far the most colourful sneakers I bought this year. Compared to most that I bought which are black and white.. Hahaha.. Pretty sad ey. I just got this off the net for a steal earlier tonight. And I must say I got it at a very very good price.. Oh well, I’m gonna rock ‘em hard!

And another shoe I bought 2 days ago. A shoe that I bought for a purpose other than for keeping or casual wear.

The Cragsdance. This must be the ugliest shoes I’ve bought this year in my life! Ugly is an understatement for this matter.. These are bouldering shoes by the way.

I started bouldering about a month plus ago. I figured that renting shoes is really costly in the long run. So I took the plunge and bought these.. You might be wondering, why on earth did I buy this colour? Well, simple, this one costs RM190, and the cooler ones cost about RM450. So yea.. I’m sure you manage to figure out why.

♪ Walking on a dream, how can I explain,
Talking to myself, will I see again….. ♪

Walked and drive around town two days ago with the bosses, Adrian & Siva.. Scouting for locations. I was there to photograph and to drive my little car around. My car was choosen over a station wagon, simple because I can double park anywhere to go down for some quick photoshoots.

Our first stop the other day was…

KL Sentral… Next station.. KL Sentral…

Walked around on the outside of KL Sentral to get our sun tan and I shot some photos for myself.. Like the one above..

Next location… Merdeka Square.

More like the Padang Merbok instead.

Well this is more like it.. The Merdeka Square.. I have to say, I love the morning sun.. Even the clouds are looking good!

Next we headed to some low cost flats around, unfortunately we didn’t get out of our car. Then we had lunch at The Coliseum Cafe. I will have a blog post on the lunch itself.

After lunch we basically went home…

And I’ve became a joke when I was being all upset thinking that I’ve disappointed someone. Damn it.. Oh well I must say that I am in relief knowing that it’s all a joke..

As stated from my previous post, I was tired. Really tired. Guess what? I slept at 1pm today till 8pm at night. However, I am glad that I manage to get my errands sorted before I crash for the day. This morning after blogging, I went for a good 5km jog around the park, had breakfast and shower, then headed over to the Plaza Damansara to hand over the photos of yesterday’s event, went to the post office to ship my shoes to be sold and then came back and have lunch. After lunch, I chilled out for about 20minutes. And I crashed and slept like a log.

The next thing I knew, it was 8pm and the sky was really really dark.. I am terribly shocked. Felt meh for awhile. Got a call to find out I have to shoot some on site photos tomorrow morning. 8am that is.. I better sleep early tonight. (Only if I can.)

Went over to the night alone with my dSLR (both 10-20 and my 24-70 f/2.8) with a tripod. I packed light! Took some shots, but they’re not great..

Had a photoshoot today at Ampang of young footballers competing. It was tiring, as I never rest well the night before. The night before I was out for another photoshoot for some football related stuffs as well. Meh, I’m so tired.. So basically my weekend was nothing but taking some photos for sporting events.

After the photoshoot today, I went to pick andrew up for lunch at 4pm. Stayed in Pappa Rich practically the whole evening. Man the weather was really hot today. Geeesh.

I was on WiFi the whole time right after lunch. Lazed around for about a good 2-3 hours.

Came back at about 7pm. Showered and slept till 12am. Had really late dinner and then started to process the photos until about 3-4ish. And now I’m bumming out…

Should I go for a run now?

On the side note, check out my R-I-Y of an R-I-P Nike+ sensor. R-I-Y is a term I came up myself, which stands for Repair It Yourself.

The one on the left is the one I fixed. Replaced the battery which Apple claims that it cannot be replaced. Bloody hell, instead of getting a new sensor, you can easily replace the battery inside for RM5 only. Okie I have to admit it is not as easy as stated on Instructables.com . (they replace them for US$5, but I got mine at RM5)

Notice the one on the left has a transparent cover? Yea, I broke the entire top piece. Prying it as stated on Instructables isn’t as easy as it seems. I ended up smashing the whole top piece and replacing it with plastic containers from our local chicken rice shop. Other than that, my Adidas Micropacer’s clock is ticking again! I replaced it’s battery too, for only RM2.50..

Yes I have my own cave, I spend most of my time here. This is my bedroom actually. Not only my bed is here, everything else is. My computer, my camera, my shoes and everything else that belongs to me. (Not exactly everything, yes although my car is small but my car is not in my room..) Hmm so yea.

Here’s how my bedroom looks like and this is what I do here all day and all night long..

I have two photo walls in my room. Or more like a small “cork board” which I use to pin photos up.

The same photos has been up here for a year or so already.

Today I went over to 1Utama, and basically bum around alone. Felt like spending, therefore I got myself catridge and photo paper refills for my Canon Selphy Printer I won from a Streething Canon Selphy Contest last year. If you don’t remember, you can read it here.. So yea, I am gonna print more photos and I shall pin up new photos. I am really bored of the old photos already. Time for new ones.. Yippee..

Oh and in case if you’re wondering how did I get the shoot of my room from such an angle.. I set up a tripod over some tables and chair stacked up really high, and triggered with remote control. And just for some additional information, two flashes were used in this photo. Other than that, I was scared to death if my camera would drop from that height. Because if it did drop.. Hmmm I really don’t know what’s next.

Remember how I use to whine about exams exams exams? Now that all is over, I am seriously dead bored at home. I refuse to get a part time job simply because this will most likely be my last holiday of my schooling life. (unless I fail in future) To those who has not finish their exams, I am really sorry and you shall not read the following post. It will only demotivate you..

We surfed the net and watched youtube to bring back some fun.. (Not that it’s really fun, but on days like these, youtube can be really entertaining.. )

So yea now that my exams are over, I am bumming day after day.. On some days, I’ll help a friend of mine to take some product photos for whatever reasons and right now I am discussing on starting a facebook group with eman. To create some photo challenges along the way. Because, my gears are really being underutilized. Seriously underutilized. So is anyone up for any shutter challenges?

Today is just another day of my holiday. Bummed out and a little more as usual. Just a little different, today I woke up at 5pm. Awesome huh. Initially I woke up at 2pm, surfed a bit, check to see that there isn’t anything new on anywhere (email, twitter, facebook, and forums) went back to bed and got up at 5pm. Had an apple for lunch (yea lunch at 5pm) a really late one. Bummed out a little, took a dump, went out for a jog. Clocked in 5km, came back and saw my cousin watching Across the Universe on Astro. Didn’t know it was shown on Astro. Watched here and there a little, changed, rest, had light dinner, and then went out for bouldering. That’s all I’ve done today (other than coming home, shower, had late dinner, and now I’m blogging)..

I am really bored.. I went to borrow a tripod from a friend, and on the way home I took some photos with the tripod. Yea I mean on the way home while I was driving.

Tripod mounted on the passenger seat infront. Buckled up. Set on Aperture Priority mode. Set the correct exposure and aperture. And started driving around. Caught some light trails.

Nope i wasn’t driving very fast. Merely a 100kph (if you’re looking at speedometer)

I might go out and take some long exposure shots one of these wet/rainy nights. Or do you have any suggestions of what I can shoot? Do drop one at the comment box below. If not, just drop something so that I can spend some time reading it.

Ohyea, not just they are rejected, my photos are pretty much rejected too. Most of my photos seems to be very soft, out of focus. Not sure if it’s me or the lens or the camera or the conditions. But hey, smashpop & ewin ’s pictures looks pretty good. Damnit. No its not a Canon vs Sony war or anything. Ah whatever. Just look at my disappointing photos below alright?

I only enjoyed more after the concert. When people dressed up in haloween costumes who attended the concert started walking around to gain attention. When I saw this guy in a mask with a “toy sword” I turned back at him and gasped loudly and stared sarcastically shocked at him. And although he was behind a mask, I am very sure he was -__- at me. He left and I laughed…

Another was this two girls who walked passed me and I eavesdropped unintentionally because they’re conversation was really interesting. Here’s how it goes..

Okie whatever, this has been a very horrible weekend for me. It has been raining every evening and I cannot run.. Sigh…

Exams are just over. I am a free man right now. It has been only two days and it’s quite boring I must say.

Here, again I shall showcase my new shoe. My latest addition from last week due to impulsive spending or should I say CSD. In case you don’t know, CSD is the acronym for Compulsive Sneaker Disorder. Yup it is an disorder. I really need to think wisely before I make any purchase next time. Sigh… Oh well, I’ll tell you why I made the plunge..

The Nike Air Rejuven8 Caol Uno (10AC Quickstrike Edition). In case you don’t know, this pair was designed for the Olympics 2008. These were used by and made for the athlete when they are resting or any other time when they are not in the sports arena.  Hence the name “Rejuvenate”. Legendary track coach and Nike founder Bill Bowerman once coined the phrase ““A hard day of training should be followed by a day of easy training.” With that, the Air Rejuven8 has a goal of creating the perfect post work out shoe.

Look at the package. I mean come on. It is complete with a bag.

This is what it came with. An additional pair of  interchangeable “inner sockets” which is washing machine safe. And so is the cage/shoe or whatever you call it. Not only that, it came with an extra lace too, just so you can match them up with the “inner sockets”. This also came with additional pair of insole equipped with the Air technology. (Even the one sold during the Olympics in 2008 didn’t come with the additional insole.) This has an extra pair, so you won’t need to remove them when you’re changing the inner sockets. How cool is that?

So yea. This was really a good buy. How often do you get such a complete package when you buy a pair of shoes? Usually what do you get? A box, an extra shoe lace (if you’re lucky), a brochure (if they are equipped with their latest innovation) or a pair of socks (if the shopkeeper is in a good mood). The Air Rejuven8 10AC was a perfect, complete package. I am a sucker when it comes to these little accessories, they get me all hyped up.

Okie anyway…

So yea, just so you know, I am not a Nike slsave. Not all my money and hard work goes to Nike products. And so you know I do support other brands like Puma, Reebok, Adidas, New Balance and not to forget Converse too..
