Lately, I’ve been selling off quite a lot of my stuff.. Two - three days back I sold 2 pairs of shoes from my collection, and 2 more pairs will be going off this week.. Now.. My beloved Dell Axim x51v is going off too!

Out of Reach!

Hello! I am very lazy! Assignments began piling up.. Owh.. For your info, my phone is kinda fcuked up! The microphone isn’t functioning well.. You still can hear me, but I hafta scream and you’ll hear a pinch of my voice.. So yea.. Text me instead.. Or else I’m sort of unreachable..

Went over to Digital Mall the other day.. Got fascinated by some mobile phones.. I am so lost in the mobile phone world now.. Ever since I switched to Windows Mobile which is 3 years ago.. Since my phone is giving in (it did serve me well for the past 3 years) I think I should get a new one.. Not another Windows Mobile definitely not because I am sick of it but I cannot freaking afford one when I am jobless.. And I was thinking to go for a basic or entry level phone.. Since I already have my 400D (so I guess I don’t need a camera phone), an iPod (don’t need a music phone), and my Axim x51v should be able to handle all the smartphone/PDA features on the other hand, I should get a basic phone.. The question is.. How basic should I go? I was actually looking for one which doesn’t cost more than RM400..

I want it to be 3G enabled because I believe it may last me up to 3 years or more.. So yea, might as well get one which is future proof! But there is a problem.. Most All 3G enabled mobile phones are equipped with a camera which most likely be able produce high quality photos.. Almost as good as those produced from a digital compact camera.. And that’s something I don’t need! When are they gonna produce a 3G enabled mobile phone which doesn’t have a camera? ( I mean the camera for photo taking.. I need the video conference camera of course!) Okie now you may be thinking I’m a weird consumer looking for a 3G enabled phone at Rm400.. Wait till you read more…

Next.. I don’t need a music phone.. Okay.. So yea I know it is impossible to get a phone (today) without a music player.. Something which has a decent speaker is fine.. I don’t need those Surround Sound system or Hi-Fi quality music playback on the phone.. It’s only useful when you’re showing off to your friends at the mamak stall and still you won’t do it everyday.. I just need a basic one.. Come on.. You can cut cost on those spanking loud speakers! Take them off! Give me a decent speaker to play Mp3 tones or even MiDi tones is fine! Then reduce the price! Hahaha.. So you must be thinking I’m going backwards in time.. Yup that’s true.. I usta like having the best-all-in-one-gadget ever! I had an Mp3 enabled on a monochrome display phone in 2003, when you’re still listening your Mp3’s directly from your desktop! I’ll blog about that phone later next week.. It kicks ass back then! Then I had a Windows Mobile Phone in the January 2005 which I am still using now.. It was running on Windows Mobile 2003se, and then it was running in Windows Mobile 5.. Now running on Windows Mobile 6.. Back then, Nokia’s Symbian 60 was the IN thing! And I was running on Windows Mobile.. Then when Sony Ericsson was selling their P900 like hot cakes in 2006, I migrated over to the Windows Mobile Pocket Pc.. And after a year.. I sold that off.. Got myself a pure PDA.. And then my Windows Mobile Smartphone continues to serve as my communicator..

Now everything is back to square one.. After having devices which has phone, camera, organizer, and multimedia player all built in together, I figured that it is still better to have all devices separately.. You may have the most sophisticated gadget in the world by having it altogether.. So what? It is able to make calls and send texts just like any other mobile phones.. Maybe for the first few months, you’ll be enjoying the camera and multimedia player.. After awhile, you’ll put these aside, when your parents just bought a new digital compact for the family.. That is when you start to ditch your built in camera and head for the new compact! (probably because it has the face detector that you phone doesn’t has..) And when you realize the multimedia player drains battery even faster than you make calls.. So yea.. If you’re still the kind who prefers an All-in-One kinda gadget, I didn’t say you suck, I am just telling you that you won’t get the best performance in every aspects.. One common issue.. It always hang when there’s too many applications running.. Or even worse.. It just hang and screw up your calendar/contacts for no reason.. (two person I know are in this situation right now.. One lost her contacts, the other can’t even load the calendar application..)

Owhh crap.. I think I’ve gone too far.. I was trying to explain why am I going back to basic again, but it turns out that I’m explaining reasons why not to buy an all in one kinda gadget.. Okayy… Don’t flame me for what I just said.. At this moment I have thoughts of an old-man-who-doesn’t-belongs-to-the-techy-era.. Somehow I won’t get a very basic phone.. Cause basic phone looks like crap! Plastic finish, small pixellated display and a flimsy design is definitely gonna be a huge turn off.. At the same time I am definitely not getting any from the top range! (reason as above, and at the same time I won’t be able to afford one) Fcuk me! I’m so demanding right? Hahahah..

This is my first time buying a new phone simply because my current one is giving in. Back then, I’d find any reason just to get a new one..

Wonders of the Internet..

Aren’t you happy with what you can do on the internet these days? I’m sure everyone is.. But are you happy with our broadband service here in Malaysia? Damn! Since evening today, I just couldn’t get connected to my MSN messenger.. Sites never load, except for Google.. Fine, at least there is a site that loads.. I really wonder when will our broadband service provider provides us stable and problem free connection, and better 24 hours customer service (who knows what are they talking about, and not putting you on hold every few minutes possible for at least 5 times in a 10 minutes conversation..) without hiking the fee every month.. I don’t quite appreciate TM providing us wider bandwidth, cheaper packages and stuff like that.. I would much prefer, better quality and more stable internet connection.. I also don’t mind that if they were to put the server offline to do some maintainance work.. At least give proper notices, like publishing it onto the papers (which they will definitely not do due to the cost of publishing), at least load a page on the browser (as a pop up) or just a page informing users that the internet service will be down from when to when and what they are doing.. I’m sure they can create a webpage that will load before you load your default homepage after you connect to the internet.. Come on.. Who the hell goes to the TM website? I’ll probably go if my internet connection is down..(that’s if I still can connect to the TM site..) Please TM.. DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE!!! PLEASE!!!

Went over to Pavillion this afternoon with my sister..

Reason for going over to Pavillion was to pickup some cases for our iPods.. She sort of broke hers, and I just don’t like the feel of my silicone case.. Actually, it was because EPICentre at Pavillion was having some major discount on most of the second gen iPod Nanos..

Here’s what I got.. The Capsule by SwitchEasy.. Saw this off the net sometime ago, wanted to order from the distributer when I was still attached with GeeK, but we had to order a minimum of 5 units of these, which we are in the midst of clearing off the old stock for the old Nano (second gen) ..

I am really happy with the case! And I got it for only RM50.. They even have the iSKIN, the limited edition one is selling at only RM109.. Other than that, my sister got a faux leather purse type of case.. Which includes a card holder in it.. Guess what? She got it for only RM5.. Hahaha.. Damn cheap huh? Got a few screen protectors too for only RM1 each.. Hahahah..

Just started watch Heroes Season 2.. It was in my external hard drive for months.. I didn’t want to watch because I do not want to wait for releases of new episodes.. I was suppose to wait till I get hold of every episodes of Season 2.. But I guess I just can’t wait any longer.. I finished 7 episodes last night.. Hahahah.. Damnit!

While surfing the internet, I accidentally broke the scroll of my mouse.. Damn! Wasn’t scrolling hard, neither I was using it to click.. Just scroll really slowly, and suddenly it felt smooth.. As smooth as the wheel of a toy car.. Opened to check if the scroll got out of track. Damnit, the shaft of the scroll broke!

Now I gotta use the wired mouse again.. Arrrghh!

I better go to bed.. The MQA is visiting my college the next morning.. There’s gonna be a mock lecture.. Ugggh..

Monochromatic Gears..

I picked up a new toy yesterday.. It is a Dell Axim X51v.. Am really satisfied with it…

It may look boring, but trust me.. It is not as boring as it is, in fact it is powerful and may be as powerful as your PC back in the days.. At 624Mhz, it is definitely enough to fry your bawls, boil your eggs and steam your frankfurter.. Hahaha..

My gears are all in silver and black.. Monochrome is the color of the future..

Alright.. Enough of showing off.. Time to sleep.. Heading over to college the next morning to assemble an amplifier circuit as my assignment.. Good night..

Boys with Toys..

It was a long day yesterday, Friday 9th of November 2007.. I started my day at the bank’s ATM, withdrawing some cash.. How much did I withdraw?

This is the exact amount I withdrew today..

It could only be for one thing.. And I’m pretty sure most of you guys guessed so..

It’s a new camera! Yeahoo!! An EOS 400d..

So yea.. If you noticed, every Tom, Dick, & Harry Tom’s Dick is Hairy do own a dSLR right now.. This is because it is cheap.. Like dirt cheap.. I would like to clarify to most peeps out there, that a good photo is a final product from a photographer and not a camera.. A camera does not affect much on image quality..

Anyway… Headed back to College after 2.30pm where I got my camera from Sungei Wang Plaza with Suan Loong, Terence and Fung keng.. Class was till 5pm.. Chilled for awhile.. Headed over to Thiam Beng’s house at around 11pm.. Stayed there till 4am.. Like couple of minutes ago.. We were playing with his new toy.. The Nintendo Wii…

We stayed up from 11pm till 4am playing this at Thiam Beng’s house..It was fkin crazee I tell ya!

Another Farewell Gathering/Dinner..

Friday.. Woke up at 8am, send my sis to work, chilled at home for awhile and I headed to work as well..

Worked from 11am till 5pm today..

As I reached.. I found some new stuffs on display.. They were.. Apple iPhone, Apple iPod Touch, and the HTC TyTn II.. These were the 3 gadgets most people have been waiting for… Damn!! This is awesome!! All in the same week…

So, what got my attention was actually the iPod Touch.. Simple because the iPhone is an iPod Touch with some add on features which I’m not so keen of looking at it (such as phone and a 2megapix camera..) and the HTC TyTn II (which is somehow or rather similar to the HTC TyTn, just with add on features such as build in GPS and a much better prorcessor..)

This was what I liked most.. The way you zoom them pictures… (pictures were taken in a very slow shutter while resizing d pictures on the iPod Touch..)

The screen is.. OUHHH SO LOVELY!!!! You can barely spot some large pixels even if the resolution of the picture is low.. For instance, check out the picture above, it was a 500X431 pixels being zoom-ed to the maximum, probably 3-4times magnification.. Damn.. The screen is just wonderful!!!

I just love to resize them pictures while snapping a picture of it..

After work, headed back home to chill for awhile, and then to pick my sister up from work and then off to Talipon @ Taman Mayang for dinner with some friends as Brian Chieng is soon leaving Malaysia for Brisbane..

Before leaving that place after spending about 2 hours there, we did this.. and damn.. His house is hella big!!

After his house, send some of them “CinderellaS” home by 12am, and then headed over to Island Cafe @ Ss2 while it’s pouring quite heavily..

Nike+ Tune Your Run..

Got my Nike+ Sports Kit finally.. Copped them from 1Utama yesterday evening..

Today.. My first run with the Sports Kit, iPod & the Moires…

Fully accessorized.. The Nike Zoom Moires+, iPod, Nike Sports Kit, Nike “My Power Song” tee and not to forget a beat up Nike arm band which fits perfectly with my nano silicone case… (Pics was kinda overexposed.. Quickly snapped this before I head out for my jog..)

Yea it is cool.. I really liked it.. Too bad my run today was really bad.. I had to jog during “going to rain” kind of weather.. I’ll feel really weak and cold.. Anyways.. Jogged for about 2.2km and walked for about 1km+..

My first run with these are bad enough.. What’s worse? I came home wheezing.. They were some noisy irritating whistling sound on top of my lungs/behind my throat every time I breathe.. Geesh.. Hope it’s caused by some phlegm… Never had such thing before..

Anyway.. Here’s my run.. Don’t laugh k..

As you can see I was happily running at first.. And then suddenly I felt my breath was like damn short compared to usual.. Breath very hard and then I slowed down.. And then I walked.. And then I forced myself to run home (as I know it will be displayed on internet, so better run abit more.. no so malu…) Damn I was constant for only 1km.. Geesh. Malu-fying.. Will perform better next time.. And I hope I will not wheeze again..

And yay! I told my parents that I sold my camera… They were shock to hear that.. Damn I miss my camera… Hopefully I can still update this blog as often as before and remain to post pictures with the old olympus at the moment…

It was extremely tiring.. Looking for places where I could sit.. I think that’s the flip flop she settled for..

Then headed home.. I tried to take a nap.. And damn.. I found a freaking small lizard on the wall.. Tried to chase that bugger away.. I even tried to kill it.. It went to hide behind my shelf.. Nevermind… Ended up making a new header and gave a spanking new look on my blog..

Friday… Woke up at 2.00pm.. Before heading over to work.. Saw some beautiful bougainvilleas at my garden.. It was 3 pots of leavey bougainvillea plants… Today it is 3 pots of flowery bougainvillea plants.. So……

Grabbed my camera and started snapping..

Wooo.. Look at the bug.. Now that’s the advantage of taking continuous shots.. and YAY!! My garden is blooming.. At least a few plants are..

Then I headed over to work…

Came home.. Online, surf the net and chat for awhile.. Then something dropped on me.. Not really me, but it was really close to me.. It was the freaking lizard I went round chasing for yesterday…

Okay.. Let’s make this clear.. I’m not afraid of lizards.. I just hate them.. I don’t mind if they stay on the wall (don’t shit around! especially near my shoes), chasing their mates, wagging their tail.. I don’t give two shit about them.. But the reason why I’m shoo-ing, killing, poisoning or whatever-ing them, is because I do not want them to surprise me anytime soon.. For example, waking up next to it, fitting into your clothes with it, or them dropping on to you.. Damnnn.. Same goes for cockroaches.. I don’t mind if they stray around, as long as they don’t freaking fly.. So in order to make sure they don’t fly… KILL THEM! Agree? Hahaha..

So yea continue from the story.. It fell on to my table.. Then I took a roll of mahjong paper.. SWING it, like I’m playing baseball, smack smack smack.. and LAUGH!!! WAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA… Then.. Put it onto an a4 size paper, put it in my light tent, and TADAAAAA.. I got a new model for some photoshots..
