Panning At The Disco!

29 03 2008

Finally, I found time to update this space! Been really busy for the past week.. First it was assignments, then it was the Nike Women Event, then to the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Sepang and then it was more assignments again… Anyway.. Yea I shall start of with the Formula 1 Grand Prix..

Much appreciation to my sister and Thean Eu for bringing me to the Formula 1 Grand Prix..

Massa & Raikkonen..

That is speed!

Move out! I’m overlapping!

Seems like I was the only weirdo who had a flash mounted during F1.. It was there because I took portraits of my sister and Thean Eu before this..

Will post more later on.. More pix on the crowd before and after the race, and more speedy pix (which are not that good) will be uploaded soon!

Food & Shoot..

19 03 2008

Three lectures (actually two lectures and a group discussion) was being cramped into the morning.. Therefore, class ended at 12.30pm, and headed down town with emily.. What town?!?!? CHINATOWN! Petaling street that is.. Reason to get there was to have lunch and to snap some photos on the streets..

Graffiti to create awareness? That’s a damn good idea!

This is definitely much better than the flags and banners being put up by politician parties during the General Elections..

Save the turtles anyone?

We were suppose to look for the “special” porridge stall which we did not manage to find.. So we settled for Laksa, Pork Noodle, Chee Cheong Fun and some Yong Tau Foo at the marketplace..

Laksa!

After lunch. We walked around to snap some photos until we passed by a small hidden shop/stall by the name of Hon Kee.. Which reminded me of the Cendol shop at Jonker Walk, Malacca.. Well this is the place where we were suppose to have our lunch!

If it wasn’t because of the bunting, we could not have noticed it.. So we decided to eat again.. (it wasn’t even 15 minutes after we finished our lunch..)

So why is this stall different?

Check this out.. The porridge and slices of fish are served separately.. They serve raw fish slices!

Dip/stir/mix the fish and the porridge till the slices of fish are cook..  For about 5-10 minutes.. You’re good to go! It was goooooooddd.. MmmhhhmmM!

After that, we walked around and snapped some photos.. Dropped by at the famous Air Mata Kucing stall to quench our thirst, even though we were not thirsty… Then it rained.. Didn’t expect to have more photo opportunities during the rain/drizzle.. Initially thought that the rain was kinda turn off!

While it was sort of pouring..

School students..

Uh-oh..

Some funny dude who was starring at us while he was waiting at the traffic light.. Looked at him, and he smiled at me.. So I snapped a photo of him, and returned a smile at him..

Later on when it was only drizzling.. More school students..

Auntie & Uncle..

Rain stops and goods have to be delivered..

While heading back to the car..  emily at a florist..

Purple power!

Back home at around 5pm..  Now I have to go and get some rest! Goodnite! Seeya!

Out of Reach!

15 03 2008

Hello! I am very lazy! Assignments began piling up.. Owh.. For your info, my phone is kinda fcuked up! The microphone isn’t functioning well.. You still can hear me, but I hafta scream and you’ll hear a pinch of my voice.. So yea.. Text me instead.. Or else I’m sort of unreachable..

Went over to Digital Mall the other day.. Got fascinated by some mobile phones.. I am so lost in the mobile phone world now.. Ever since I switched to Windows Mobile which is 3 years ago.. Since my phone is giving in (it did serve me well for the past 3 years) I think I should get a new one.. Not another Windows Mobile definitely not because I am sick of it but I cannot freaking afford one when I am jobless.. And I was thinking to go for a basic or entry level phone.. Since I already have my 400D (so I guess I don’t need a camera phone), an iPod (don’t need a music phone), and my Axim x51v should be able to handle all the smartphone/PDA features on the other hand, I should get a basic phone.. The question is.. How basic should I go? I was actually looking for one which doesn’t cost more than RM400..

I want it to be 3G enabled because I believe it may last me up to 3 years or more.. So yea, might as well get one which is future proof! But there is a problem.. Most All 3G enabled mobile phones are equipped with a camera which most likely be able produce high quality photos.. Almost as good as those produced from a digital compact camera.. And that’s something I don’t need! When are they gonna produce a 3G enabled mobile phone which doesn’t have a camera? ( I mean the camera for photo taking.. I need the video conference camera of course!) Okie now you may be thinking I’m a weird consumer looking for a 3G enabled phone at Rm400.. Wait till you read more…

Next.. I don’t need a music phone.. Okay.. So yea I know it is impossible to get a phone (today) without a music player.. Something which has a decent speaker is fine.. I don’t need those Surround Sound system or Hi-Fi quality music playback on the phone.. It’s only useful when you’re showing off to your friends at the mamak stall and still you won’t do it everyday.. I just need a basic one.. Come on.. You can cut cost on those spanking loud speakers! Take them off! Give me a decent speaker to play Mp3 tones or even MiDi tones is fine! Then reduce the price! Hahaha.. So you must be thinking I’m going backwards in time.. Yup that’s true.. I usta like having the best-all-in-one-gadget ever! I had an Mp3 enabled on a monochrome display phone in 2003, when you’re still listening your Mp3’s directly from your desktop! I’ll blog about that phone later next week.. It kicks ass back then! Then I had a Windows Mobile Phone in the January 2005 which I am still using now.. It was running on Windows Mobile 2003se, and then it was running in Windows Mobile 5.. Now running on Windows Mobile 6.. Back then, Nokia’s Symbian 60 was the IN thing! And I was running on Windows Mobile.. Then when Sony Ericsson was selling their P900 like hot cakes in 2006, I migrated over to the Windows Mobile Pocket Pc.. And after a year.. I sold that off.. Got myself a pure PDA.. And then my Windows Mobile Smartphone continues to serve as my communicator..

Now everything is back to square one.. After having devices which has phone, camera, organizer, and multimedia player all built in together, I figured that it is still better to have all devices separately.. You may have the most sophisticated gadget in the world by having it altogether.. So what? It is able to make calls and send texts just like any other mobile phones.. Maybe for the first few months, you’ll be enjoying the camera and multimedia player.. After awhile, you’ll put these aside, when your parents just bought a new digital compact for the family.. That is when you start to ditch your built in camera and head for the new compact! (probably because it has the face detector that you phone doesn’t has..) And when you realize the multimedia player drains battery even faster than you make calls.. So yea.. If you’re still the kind who prefers an All-in-One kinda gadget, I didn’t say you suck, I am just telling you that you won’t get the best performance in every aspects.. One common issue.. It always hang when there’s too many applications running.. Or even worse.. It just hang and screw up your calendar/contacts for no reason.. (two person I know are in this situation right now.. One lost her contacts, the other can’t even load the calendar application..)

Owhh crap.. I think I’ve gone too far.. I was trying to explain why am I going back to basic again, but it turns out that I’m explaining reasons why not to buy an all in one kinda gadget.. Okayy… Don’t flame me for what I just said.. At this moment I have thoughts of an old-man-who-doesn’t-belongs-to-the-techy-era.. Somehow I won’t get a very basic phone.. Cause basic phone looks like crap! Plastic finish, small pixellated display and a flimsy design is definitely gonna be a huge turn off.. At the same time I am definitely not getting any from the top range! (reason as above, and at the same time I won’t be able to afford one) Fcuk me! I’m so demanding right? Hahahah..

This is my first time buying a new phone simply because my current one is giving in. Back then, I’d find any reason just to get a new one..

Anyway.. The picture of the dayy week..

It is out of reach as well!

By the wayy.. I am so hooked up with Taylor Swift’s music.. Out of a sudden I am listening to country music.. Weird.. Who cares! Woohoo!

Double Birthdays..

11 03 2008

Last Friday.. Celebrated Michelle’s birthday which falls on 3rd 5th of March and CzeWien’s which falls on 10th of March.. Had dinner at Jack’s Place.. Yup.. Same ol’ boring 1Utama.. C’mon.. It’s time for something different!

So yea.. My camera was left to rot and collected lotsa dust for about weeks.. Until Friday..

The Birthday Babes!

The cake..

The photog.. Hahaha..

The classic couple!

The idiotic photog..

And the rest..

Spent my weekend working at a poorly managed electrical store.. Earning about Rm10 per hour.. Quite a good deal.. But time passes SLOWWWLYY!!!! Like extremely slow.. Work a few more weekends, and probably I can afford to get a few pair of socks, or even better, another pair of shoes.. This is just a temporary job which my friends need me to replace over 2-3 weekends.. Damn! It’s one of the most boring job ever.. To stone for about 8 hours..

Nothing unusual happened… Same old boring story.. Nothing much..

Till then.. Bye bye!

What’s on your feet?

7 03 2008

Owhh crap.. Sorry for not updating the blog for bout a week or so.. Been quite busy, lazy, and a lil more chatty..

Nothing much happened lately.. As usual.. To skwl, back from skwl, sleep and online.. Yea kinda boring… So here is a short boring update..

Here’s what I rocked yesterday…

The Invisible Woman to College!

Today to College with some GR Dunks..

One of my lecturer.. She’s really cute and bubbly.. She always tells us that the class will end a lil earlier.. At the end.. It ends at the usual time, sometimes later.. We only noticed like after 3-4 classes with her.. How naive.. One of my classmates likes to play around with her.. And he said things like “Hahhhh.. See we think the same wayyy.. Damn secocok weihh!” and she will reply “Secocok your head la!” Hahaha.. Damn she is so much different from the previous lecturer I had few semesters back… Ahh.. My lecturers for this semester seem to be quite good.. Another lecturer, we treat him more like a friend than a lecturer.. We talk any random stuff with him.. And yup it’s quite fun to have lecturers like this..

Alright.. Guess that’s all for now! Shall have more to blog tomorrow! Seeya!

Schneakerrsch!!

1 03 2008

So yea.. 29th February night.. Was hanging out at Darussalam at Subang with the fellow sneaker heads..

Our pickups! Wahahah.. Cheqout vinson’s Bapesta in the picture.. Multi color-ed dots! Thanks to him for hooking me up!

So yea. Out of the 5 boxes.. I brought home 3.. One of them is for Terence.. An Adicolor Footlocker exclusive..

Here’s what I picked up..

The original Nike Footscapes..

Woohoo.. I’m loving them man!

Apparently they are very comfortable.. Let’s hope it’s true!

This is the second pair.. The Adidas Mircropacer.

Alright.. Animal lovers.. Before you shoot me.. Those are faux snake skin.. So please don’t kill me..

They were launched in 1984 giving the world a shock for being the very first pair of shoes with a built in microcomputer.. Cool huh?

Comes with a pedometer.. I rephrase, it is “P E D O M E T E R” not “paedo-meter” Okie? Clear? Chun! Those numbers you see on it right now, its actually the date.. Today 01/03/08.. Hahaha.. It will also show the time, if I’m not mistaken calories, distance, and steps too.. Cool huh? I spent bout 30-45 minutes figuring out what does those numbers mean..

While cleaning up my shelf.. As I hafta stuff two more boxes in.. I decided to discard a pretty old and beatup shoe.. It was my very last pair of school shoe! Today (after 2 years) I opened it.. And WOAHH!!

Looking vintage? Hahaha.. The sole is yellowed beb! It wasn’t that yellow when I last saw it..

So yea.. I copped 2 pairs of sneakers on a special day.. 29th Feb.. A day which only comes once in four years… And they both marked the 3rd and 4th pair of sneakers in my February pickups.. I shall chill and wait for them Air Max 95 Parra’s and the Olympic Pack Trainer Dunk Free Low. Those Olympic Packs are already for sale.. So if you’re thinking of getting me an early birthday gift.. Go ahead and click HERE.. Size 8US please!
