What about things that flies? Well.. Had 5 hours of sleep last night, woke up and headed down town with em(an & ily).. I mean eman & emily.. Reason for going to Sg.Wang was because she wanted to swap her memory card.. Anyway…………….. We barely spend 2 hours there.. Then we headed over to the Butterfly Farm….

Both of them that is… From Macro to Tele, bending down and tipping our toes, getting every perfect angle possible..

I guess she’s macro-ing some flowers as she’s afraid of butterflies, dragonflies, and everything else that flies.. Hahaha..

Dreaming Big..

Eversince high school, I had an aim.. Okay.. Maybe 3 aims.. To get a 4 wheeler at the age of 17, to change to a better one at 21 and to get a house by the age of 25.. Well… Possible? Maybe not.. Thanks to my parents, I reached the first aim, although it was later by a couple of months.. Anyways.. Working on the second one.. Yea some of you guys might think I’m just day dreaming.. Well.. Who cares…

Anyways… I’m on my final week of “an almost a month term break”.. First week was bumming around at home, and second week was purely working.. This time it is a lil different.. Instead of forcing myself to get off the bed at 10.30am and head to work by 12pm, I wake up at a comfortable time, and head over to work before 3pm.. Feels so much better.. Sleeping time remains at 4am.. Heheheh..

It was a cokey day for me..

Just had sudden crave for coke.. Don’t ask why…

For the other GeeKs… It was a rolling week.. They’d been rolling their own ciggarettes.. From strawberry to wildberry flavoured ones.. They have all kinda berries, besides Blackberry devices and Halle Berry..

Then headed home.. I tried to take a nap.. And damn.. I found a freaking small lizard on the wall.. Tried to chase that bugger away.. I even tried to kill it.. It went to hide behind my shelf.. Nevermind… Ended up making a new header and gave a spanking new look on my blog..

Friday… Woke up at 2.00pm.. Before heading over to work.. Saw some beautiful bougainvilleas at my garden.. It was 3 pots of leavey bougainvillea plants… Today it is 3 pots of flowery bougainvillea plants.. So……

Grabbed my camera and started snapping..

Wooo.. Look at the bug.. Now that’s the advantage of taking continuous shots.. and YAY!! My garden is blooming.. At least a few plants are..

Then I headed over to work…

Came home.. Online, surf the net and chat for awhile.. Then something dropped on me.. Not really me, but it was really close to me.. It was the freaking lizard I went round chasing for yesterday…

Okay.. Let’s make this clear.. I’m not afraid of lizards.. I just hate them.. I don’t mind if they stay on the wall (don’t shit around! especially near my shoes), chasing their mates, wagging their tail.. I don’t give two shit about them.. But the reason why I’m shoo-ing, killing, poisoning or whatever-ing them, is because I do not want them to surprise me anytime soon.. For example, waking up next to it, fitting into your clothes with it, or them dropping on to you.. Damnnn.. Same goes for cockroaches.. I don’t mind if they stray around, as long as they don’t freaking fly.. So in order to make sure they don’t fly… KILL THEM! Agree? Hahaha..

So yea continue from the story.. It fell on to my table.. Then I took a roll of mahjong paper.. SWING it, like I’m playing baseball, smack smack smack.. and LAUGH!!! WAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA… Then.. Put it onto an a4 size paper, put it in my light tent, and TADAAAAA.. I got a new model for some photoshots..

This is my first time starting a photoshop project from scratch.. Usually I only photoshop photographs.. Just by modifying it.. Never in my life I started from a blank canvas.. This is officially the first.. Ooops.. I’m saying the blog header, in case you guys didn’t realize..

I just found another reason to stick with my old candy bar smartphone rather than the chunky and swiftly fast pocket pc.. Well, the reason is… I’ve got Windows Mobile 6 running on the candy bar.. Woohoo.. When I first got it in January 2005 (SPM just passed in a blink of eye) it was running on Windows Mobile 2003Second Edition.. This lil dude was paid with cold hard cash I earned during the end of Form 4 school holidays… I paid a price of Rm1888. for it.. Got it on the first week since it’s launch date.. I was really proud, being the only Windows Mobile dude around.. Especially in school.. Hahaha.. Lotsa memories with this dude in school back then..

The O2 Xphone II running on Windows Mobile 6! (notice some distortion on the XDA IIi? hmmm I was using the Macro filter..)

After a year having it, I flashed it’s firmware (not the legal one) to obtain the Windows Media Player 10 instead of 9.. In less than 6 months later, I earned some cash again, and got myself the O2 XDA IIi.. What attracted me to it was it’s speedy processor whopping at 520Mhz.. (Damn right it was faster than my PC in the early days..) Tweaked it and stuff, damn I enjoy Windows Mobile Devices..

Not too long ago, I found another (non legal) upgrade for the lil candy bar Xphone II.. It upgrades the Operating System from the Windows Mobile 2003 to the Windows Mobile 5.0.. Geesh.. That was good enough to ditch the Pocket PC, even if the Pocket PC has WiFi.. Now, I got a Windows Mobile 6 running on it.. Damn.. I’m speechless and I left the Pocket PC in the shadows.. Now the Pocket PC only do Photo Viewing and slight editing direct from the camera and Internet surfing.. Phone and organizer? The Xphone II is good enough to handle it..

What pisses me off is that, this (once) sexy lil fella, is only worth around RM400 for second hand value.. Two and a half years ago, I paid freaking RM1888 for it.. Dangggg… Anyway, I didn’t regret for paying it at that price.. C’mon.. How many phones out there lasted for 3 different operating systems? The Wm2003,WM5 and Wm6? Even your PC died after switching from Windows 98 to Windows ME.. Did it last till you switch to Windows XP or Windows Vista? Hah! With Windows Mobile 6 on this fella, it is a freaking awesome phone to me.. It definitely topped the HTC StarTrek/Dopod S300 and HTC Breeze/Dopod 595.. It is equivalent to the HTC Tornado/Dopod 577w/O2 Orion just that it is lack of WiFi..

Anyway.. Enough of Windows Mobile devices, I’m sure some of you guys are bored of it.. Today, a long lost distributer came in to the shop and asked whether if we are interested to carry the iPhone… Don’t be happy just yet.. It is not officially distributed by Apple Malaysia.. Therefore warranty is not provided.. Well we decided not to carry it, firstly because of the warranty, and secondly the price was a major rip off.. He was offering RM3600 per unit.. Nope that’s not the retail, that’s the freaking cost… He also mentioned that there is a shop in LowYat Plaza sold it at a freaking price tag of Rm4999… Damnnn… There are actually people who are willing to pay that much for a unit which is not covered by the warranty.. Paying RM4999 just to be glamorous? Would you?

So I was playing around with it.. And yea, it works pretty fine after being unlocked by some genius in the United States.. I really love the way of resizing pictures.. It’s great, twitching two of your fingers on the screen.. DAMNN!!!! It’s impressive! Google earth is pretty neat too, but it’s abit slow, I guess it’s due to the WiFi connection.. The programs and interface is very responsive too.. However, the “cracked” or “unlocked” version will not support Maxis 3G.. Hahaha.. Too bad.. And the Camera is pretty sluggish.. I would say it’s 2Megapixel camera doesn’t really looked like it is 2Megapixels (well maybe the size of the picture IS 2Megapixels but the quality? bleeerrgggh…).. Kinda slow though.. Well, I might be wrong, as I didn’t upload the pictures onto the PC, but for 2Megapixels, it should look better on it’s own screen itself.. So the question is.. Would you pay Rm4999 for an 8Gb iPhone no warranty iPhone? I’ll just wait till it reaches our shore…

A birthday, a sword and some posers..

Went down town with Terence & Eman on Friday..

Terence picked up a pair of Court Force Koinobori Pack and Eman picked up some battery grip for his camera.. I picked up some coins and eventually went to the beggar’s cup.. Both Terence & Eman went home home happily and I went home full with jealousy..

Rocked these beauties to town and for dinner.. Terence with his bandaids in the background.. Taking such picture may cause serious back ache!

Then rushed home as Eman was eager to BUKA… Buka Puasa it is.. And I have to head over to Section 14 for SiewYen’s birthday dinner… So yea, I made it through the heavy traffic..

Woohoo!! It’s my birthday.. Yea rite.. At least I wish it was.. Hahaha.. It’s SiewYen’s birthday..

Many other dudes just didn’t turn up.. Well it was a good thing, as the drivers for the night were all ladies.. It was a damn good news for me as I was really tired of driving due to heavy traffic in town earlier that day..

Activities for the grown up monkeys..

I’d spend two days at Equatorial Bangi.. Worked/helped my sister at an event, a Team Building event for an accounting firm, one of the 4 biggest firm around, KPMG.. It was fun and sort of tiring (not enough sleep) but we could not be having as much as fun as those who participated in the Team Building event.. We were only there to help and set up the event.. So, it was me, Thiam Beng and Zhen Quan.. The rest? Pretty studious peeps who would bring their books to a hotel to study.. We met a lot of people.. Dark and fair, bright and dull, fat and thin, tall and short, leaders and followers, snobbish and friendly, funny and really funny peeps.. All in all, they are grown ups who still act like kids during fun activities.. It’s good to see some grown ups laughing and crapping like monkeys..

So yea.. We put a night there… At the hotel.. Zhen Quan , Thiam Beng and I shared a room..

This is actually Nike Court Force.. a.ka.. Nike Court Force X Stussy X James Jarvis’ Leons. A pair which is London exclusive… Supposingly it is only available for London but it seems that it is released in few other stores in Europe.. Designed by a toy designer James Jarvis It has almost all my favorite aspect of shoes..Suede by the lacelets, mesh heel tab and tongue, patent front panel, leather on the rest.. What more can you ask for? This pair comes random with a toy in it’s box exclusive for those who bought from Stussy London.. Most people are crazy over the toy figure and some even cared more for the toy than the shoes.. For me.. I’d prefer the shoe over the toy! I’m darn happy with this pair.. By the way, this was released in June 2006..

As you can see.. This is not a dSLR.. No external lens was mounted on it.. It’s actually a Lens Converter… Not really a lens though.. At the moment, it’s on a wide lens converter… Not any17-40 L series lens.. Even though I wish it is..

Pictures of my camera was taken with this old camera.. Only 3.2 megapixels.. Believe it or not, those pictures taken with this camera was not sharpen or photoshopped.. Wooohooo.. I misjudged this lil thing.. It may suck sometimes.. [P/s the other short post was deleted, as I didn't want it to be blogged as yesterday which is an hour ago.. Hahaha.. So if you left another comment there, sorry it will be gone..]

So… It was Kah Yang’s farewell party on Friday… Headed One-U to pick up some stuffs (will be up in the next post) and had lunch with Terence.. Then headed to Yang’s place…

Weekend has arrived…

RHB bank had some credit card promo/fair/exhibition on one of the concourse area.. They invited some of the Ikon Malaysia’s to perform..

So on day 1..

OAG performed for about 15-20 minutes… Then there were Jaclyn Victor, Daniel and Mus (some cap kapak dude..)

Day 2…

Flop Poppy performed for about 20 minutes too.. (and then it was Ezlynn and 2 other performers which I don’t know who the hell are they..)

Twelve Optical zoom is great… Those two pictures were taken while I was working.. I was at 2nd floor.. and the performance was held at Ground floor..

And then after work on Sunday night.. Headed over to Damansara Seafood Village for dinner in conjunction of my sister’s birthday..

So yea.. After exams.. Had a good rest.. Not that good afterall, but still.. Yea, fair enough.. Had dinner and all.. Then Patrick suddenly decided to go down to KLCC to get some snapshots.. Okay.. Agreed and headed over to KJ LRT Station before 9pm with Eman.. Took a ride down..

Suria KLCC as stated in the picture… First picture and I was already tired.. So I was sitting nicely on the floor shooting the Twin Towers… Many others were sitting around too.. Some were busy taking photos of the fountains, and some were busy taking photo of Twin Towers , and some were camwhoring with their friends… Hahaha..

As you can see.. Many were taking photos.. (Even Patrick had to strike a pose to snap some shots..)

I would declare this as my picture of the day.. That building is the Mandarin Oriental Hotel located in Jalan Pinang off Jalan Ampang.. It wasn’t photoshopped to be like this… It was captured like this.. Love the effects of the clouds.. It was on a long exposure.. Wollah!! I’ll name that Gotham City!
